Finding jobs on a freelance writing site can be difficult. There is a lot of competition and many writers are willing to write at much lower prices than you might be. Besides putting in a lot of time and effort, there are a few things you can do to make yourself stand out on a freelance site.

First, you should have a great bio. In your bio, do not be afraid to sell yourself. You need to remember that at the beginning you may not have references so you have to be your own best reference. Give as many details as you can and where possible, demonstrate how you have helped clients in the past. You might be able to say that, “Client X saw his site move from PR2 to PR3 in the time that you wrote articles for him.” Give concrete examples to be more efficient in your job descriptions.

You should also ensure that you bio is written perfectly. There should be no spelling mistakes, no grammar errors, and your text should be clear, concise, and to the point. Do not ramble on and on just to take up space. It is better to have a 200 word bio that is written succinctly than to have a 500 word bio that says the same thing.

Finally, make sure all of your communications with potential clients are professional. Never show your disappointment and never talk badly about others. Concentrate on presenting yourself in the best light possible and do not worry about what anyone else is doing. Always say thank you when an opportunity is presented.

Freelance writing sites can hold many opportunities, so if you choose to use them as a means of getting more work, always be a professional. When you act like someone who has been working in the writing field for many years, potential clients will assume that is exactly what you are.

There are literally millions upon millions of websites on the world wide web, all of which are trying to generate interest, business, or pleasure; or all of the above. The question at hand is how to drive qualified digital foot traffic to YOUR site and not your competitors. There are infinite ways to just get any old body to check your site out, but only a large handful that will get you the kind of demographic you need perusing through your site.

The first and foremost way to appeal to the prospective client is to have a site that is of great design and attraction. Take the extra effort to get a properly functioning and visually stunning site created for your business. Imagine your website is your store front. You wouldn’t want people coming to your store and finding it drab, unorganized, and limited on function and options would you? I didn’t think so. So if you have the knowledge to create something on your own that will stimulate your customers and promote them to give you business then do so. Otherwise hire a professional to do this for you. It is your business, remember, look after it. As a prequel to that idea, make sure you have your own domain and not some offshoot or freebie site, it may come across as unprofessional and seriously reduce your credibility.

Another avenue you can venture down is creating legitimate content for your site. One thing many people don’t realize is that providing relative information leading up to the end result of a purchase from your site or service is a goldmine for building credibility. The first thing people do when looking for a product or service is gather a little research., They want to know what they are looking for and how to find the best. Providing quality content and articles that relate to your product or service with further insure the investigating customer that you know what you’re doing, and that you are the source they should go to. Strategically placing these articles on popular sites will direct more traffic to your site than you could have even considered without trying this out.

Article writing can be a great way of getting more exposure for your business or web site but there are a few things that you should keep in mind before you begin. If you keep these things in mind as you write, you are a likely to get better results.

DO read the rules of the article submission site before sending in your articles. Article writing can be a great investment of your time, but it will not be if you ignore the rules of the site you are attempting to publish your articles to. Take note of minimum article length, amount of links that are to be included and where they can be included (some article submission sites only allow links in the resource box), and formatting guidelines.

DON’T submit junk. Make sure that your articles are proofread before you submit them. Some article directories will refuse publication because of broken grammar and misspellings and others will not. Besides that though, remember that these articles are representing your business and you would not want potential clients to think that you are not able to write grammatically and without spelling mistakes would you?

DO spread your article writing efforts around. Use a variety of sources for publishing your articles. This will help you get a better variety of back links and it will also expose you to different kinds of audiences.

DON’T publish the same articles in multiple directories. The more times you publish an article the less value it will have. If you want to make use of your articles several times over, make sure to re-write them completely. Add in new information or present it in a different manner.

DO present valuable information that readers can benefit from. If they see that you can give them value they will be more likely to click on the links that you provide in the body of your article or in your resource box. They will want to know what other value you can provide them with.

How To Prepare for a Work At Home Interview

Unless you are applying for a local company, it is highly likely that the interview process will be solely conducted online or via the phone. When you work from home you’ll have to get used to the idea of working independently, so think of the interview as a test to measure whether you are truly ready or not.

If you’ve never been hired without a face to face interview, you may find the process to be nerve racking and impersonal. The best way to counter these feelings is by properly preparing for the interview process and putting out the best you have to offer from the very beginning. It may sound like common sense to most people, but you really should make sure that your resume is completely airtight. Go over it numerous times over a few days, send copies to trusted friends and family members and have a professional resume writer review it if possible. Just a few grammatical or spelling errors can make the difference between getting contacted at all, so it is easy to see why the most professional resume can make or break you.

You won’t be able to dress for the part, but you can make sure that your responses are professional and your speaking voice is pleasant. Think about all of the questions you have been previously asked when interviewed in person, then make a script record your responses. Voice inflections, pauses and your overall tone should sound natural and thoughtful. Comprise a list of your skills, assets and experiences, then work on really selling yourself during suitable responses.
